(A note: I’ve never done a tutorial before, but I’m gonna try my best to explain my methods to y’all, so here we go! ) 

(Captain America voice) So, you guys want to learn how to draw your own bundles of joy… well, you’ve come to the right place!

I used to struggle a lot with how to draw babies (mostly because I could never get the proportions right), but after seeing one particular movie, I was able to draw them a little easier! So, lemme introduce you to the one who made it possible: 

Yup, I owe most of my baby drawing skills to Diamond Destiny from Storks lolol. The babies were just so cute and appealing to me that I had to emulate it in my drawings. 

So, the thing that I did to get started was that I tried to draw what a base for a baby would look like. In Diamond Destiny’s case, the baby had to have a big head and a really stubby body, so you’ll end up with something like this: 

Plushies have similar bases, so you can look up some of them if it helps!

The next thing to do is the face of the baby! I personally think this is the most important thing to do when drawing babies because you really want to make them look cute and appealing, otherwise it won’t suit the body ya know? 

From what I noticed from experience, things seem a lot cuter the more linear the eyes and nose are to each other. Here’s a visual example: 

If you were to draw a line from eye-nose-eye, it’d form a straight line instead of a ‘v’ shape. As you can see from the example above, it’ll make quite the difference! 

Next, I draw the mouths of the babies rather close to the nose, and I make sure they’re small in size. The chubby cheeks effect can be optional!

Aaaand I think that is basically it with baby foundations! Everything else is up to you guys to do (i.e. eye shape, hairstyle, clothes, etc). Just in case, though, here is how I complete the process:
